IMPORTANT NOTICES

Camden County Schools worked to create a solution to recover learning time lost due to the school closures in response to Hurricane Dorian. The school calendar will not be changed in response to the need to recover lost instructional time but we are partnering with our teachers to create engaging learning activities to be completed outside of class time by our students.

These learning activities will be sent home electronically by teachers no later than October 7th and students will need to complete the work independently during the window of October 7th- November 15th. Completed assignments will be graded and students will need to complete the assigned work as instructed by their teachers to earn credit. If your child does not have access to online learning at home, please contact your student’s teacher for alternate arrangements.

We have created the presentation linked below to explain more about how these assignments are created and how we are prepared to respond in the event of further weather related school closures.  10/4/19

KES has approximately 450 students enrolled in grades Pre-K through 5th grade.  We encourage parents and other stakeholders to become involved in our school!  The KES PTO is always looking for parent volunteers to help with school fundraisers and other projects.  If you would like to become involved in PTO, please call Dr. Karon Ellis, Principal, at 729-5246 or e-mail her at kyellis@camden.k12.ga.us .

The KES School Council meets the last Monday of every month at 11:30 a.m. except in November and December when the council meets on the last Friday prior to student holidays.  All meetings are open to the public.  KES also has a very active partnership with the Trident Refit Facility at the Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base.
